Xplus expands global consumer goods business and secures subsidiary SignalWave

- Accelerating B2C transformation based on functional consumer goods brands

Xplus, a company specializing in mobile accessories and IP-based consumer goods, announced on the 18th that it will incorporate SignalWave, a company specializing in functional brand planning, as a subsidiary as part of a strategy to expand the global consumer goods market. The acquisition will be carried out by fully participating in the 10 billion paid capital increase, and XPlus will secure 100% of SignalWave's shares.

Signal Wave is a startup that plans and develops functional consumer goods brands aimed at the MZ generation, and plans to enter the market with a focus on brands that combine “virality and product power.” We are pursuing a diffusion strategy based on major online and offline distribution networks and a branding strategy aimed at global demand for K-brands.

Xplus plans to establish a B2C consumer goods value chain with vertical integration of brand development, production, and global distribution through this subsidiary, and will directly plan K-brands centered on functional categories through Signal Wave and implement digital-based global expansion strategies.

CEO Yoon Sang-cheol of X+ said, “Signal Wave is an important base for discovering new growth points in the consumer goods market and directly nurturing brands,” and emphasized that “the combination of Xplus's distribution infrastructure, planning power, and SignalWave's branding capabilities will create differentiated competitiveness in the global market.”

Through this acquisition, Xplus aims to become a B2C company based on consumer contact points from the existing B2B center, and anticipates a shift in the revenue model centered on its brand and expansion of the global portfolio in the future.
